## Grants

- Required use: funds must be spent solely on low-cost pet sterilizations
  performed by licensed veterinarians.
- Who qualifies for the subsidised services: indigent pet owners on public
  assistance, including SNAP/Food Stamps, SSI, TANF, and FITAP.
- Required documents: 501(c)(3) determination letter, articles of incorporation,
  most current fiscal report, and board of directors list.
- Review time: typically 2–4 weeks after the cycle deadline.

## Animal Friendly License Plate

- Cost: $50/year royalty fee plus a $3.50 OMV handling fee.

## Commemorative Pet Stamp Contest

- Authorised by a 2024 Louisiana law (Act 440, formerly HB 653).

  commemorative pet stamp. Entry fee is $15 and is non-refundable.
- Open to U.S. residents aged 16+ (under 16 requires written parental consent).
